What To Expect

puppy1.png When you are looking for a veterinary care clinic you should be able to count on superior care and excellent service.  We at Advanced Care Veterinary Hospital in Sapulpa have assembled a team of veterinary professionals to bring you the best possible healthcare for your pet.  We have a state of the art veterinary facility which is clean, comfortable, and efficient.  Call 918-224-1900 to schedule an appointment and we will find a time that is convenient for you.

At least once a year, you should take your pet in for a check-up.  Preventive care saves lives by preventing problems or identifying problems early  Upon check-in, your pet will be weighed and our team will obtain a complete medical history, noting any concerns that you may have.  Please bring any medications, supplements and medical records (including vaccine history) that you may have.  While having the medical records is beneficial, if you do not have this information, that is alright.  We can work with whatever information that you may have.

Dr. Jennifer Patton will begin the visit with a thorough, nose-to-tail examination of your pet.  This includes checking the eyes, ears, mouth, coat and skin, heart, and joints.  After the examination, any diagnostic tests that may need to be performed will be discussed with you and then performed.  Most of our tests can be run in our hospital, such a blood work, heartworm testing and intestinal parasite checks, but special testing may necessitate that samples be sent to specialized laboratories.  After obtaining all necessary information about your pet a treatment plan will be developed, based on your pet's individual needs.  We will discuss this plan with you, making sure to answer all questions that you may have and making sure that we have addressed all of your concerns.  We want to make sure that you feel as though you are part of your pet's healthcare, because without your help, we cannot provide the best possible care for your pet.

In some circumstances, Dr. Patton will recommend that you visit with a specialist who has advanced expertise in areas such as internal medicine or surgery.  We maintain close working relationships with local and regional veterinary dermatologists, surgeons, internists, ophthalmologists, and physical therapists, to make sure that your pet receives the best care possible for whatever needs he or she may have.  We can coordinate appointments and follow-up visits, if they are necessary.

Here at Advanced Care Veterinary Hospital we want to make sure that you are always satified with your visit and would love any feedback that you may have as to how we can improve our services.
